A fundamental role for the study of human experience in the context of human-machine interaction is covered by “Cyberpsychology”, whose field of investigation includes all the psychological phenomena associated with technology. Its objectives are the study, understanding, prediction and activation of the processes of change that have their origin in the interaction with new media.Understanding the development and effects of new media represents a central challenge for contemporary society. Compared to the communication sciences, the psychology of new media, also defined as “cyberpsychology”, has its focus of analysis in the processes of change activated by new media and has as its central objective the study, understanding, prediction and activation of processes of change that have their main origin in the interaction with new communication media.
